Play Firefly on Android

Use Firefly Connector with the official Growtopia app. Root is not required.

Before you start

What you need

An Android device with the official Growtopia app installed.

    Download Firefly Connector

    Download and open the Firefly Connector APK. Keep the official Growtopia app installed.

    Allow the installation

    If Android blocks the APK, allow installs from the browser or file manager you used. Install Connector, then disable that permission again.

    Tap Connect

    Open Firefly Connector, tap Connect, and approve the VPN request. A VPN icon should appear in the status bar.

    Leave Connector running

    Press Home instead of closing Connector. If Android stops it, allow background activity in the app battery settings.

    Open Growtopia

    Open the official Growtopia app while Connector is active, then log in and enter a world.

  6. 6

    Disconnect when finished

    Return to Firefly Connector and tap Disconnect when you stop playing.

PowerTunnel

Paste the Firefly hosts URL into PowerTunnel and keep the official Growtopia app installed.

  1. Install PowerTunnel and open it.
  2. Open the menu, then open host settings.
  3. Copy the hosts URL above and paste it into the hosts URL field.
  4. Set the update period to On Start.
  5. Tap Connect, approve the VPN prompt, then open Growtopia.

Virtual Hosts

Load firefly.txt in Virtual Hosts and keep the official Growtopia app installed.

  1. Install Virtual Hosts and open it.
  2. Tap SELECT HOSTS FILE.
  3. Choose Download hosts from URL.
  4. Paste https://ffps.fun/download/firefly.txt and download the file.
  5. Select the downloaded hosts file, tap Start, then open Growtopia.
Troubleshooting

If Firefly doesn't open

  • Confirm the VPN is active before opening Growtopia.
  • Stop and restart the connection, then fully close and reopen Growtopia.
  • Do not enter your Growtopia password into a routing app or this website.
